Gilson Daub Prepares Meals For Uganda Refugees

On Saturday November 4, 2017, several Gilson Daub employees, families and friends volunteered with hundreds of other business and churches to pack over one million meals for refugees in Uganda. Large numbers of refugees, mostly women and children, have fled from their homes in South Sudan to escape civil war and religious persecution, said Chris Marshal, Kids Around the World (KATW).

Kids Around the World (KATW) and Dolphin Safari, Dana Point, organized the effort, with contributions and volunteers of all ages from businesses including Gilson Daub, churches and the Marine Corp at Camp Pendleton. “Thankfully, many people are willing to help”, said Captian Dave from Dolphin Safari.

Some of the Gilson Daub volunteers pictured below include, from left to right, Anita Lo, Tim Duncklee, Liana McCreary, Grant McCreary, Edward Tsui, Alberto Flores, Dan Gilson, a Samuel Juveland. “We are glad to help”, said Nathan Lo, Eagle Scout and son of Anita Lo of Gilson Daub.
