Partnering with Amazon.com

Gilson Daub is excited to partner with Amazon.com, who has been named the World’s Most Innovated Company by Fast Company Magazine

On my flight up to the San Francisco Bay Area this week, I came across this featured article in the March 2017 issue of Fast Company. “Why Amazon Is The World’s Most Innovative Company Of 2017”

If you aren’t familiar with the publication, Fast Company is a monthly business magazine that focuses on technology, business, and design. This month, the magazine awarded Amazon top honors as the World’s Most Innovated Company for 2017.  The article explained how Amazon is making it happen.

“A rapid expansion of Prime plus bold bets in the physical world are allowing the retailer to offer even more, even faster and smarter.”

Considering the purpose of my trip this week was to participate in Amazon’s workers’ compensation training, I quickly picked up the issue of the magazine and reflected on how innovative Amazon really is. Unlike other companies that limit their focus, Amazon focuses on serving their customers in the best and fastest possible way across a variety of platforms. Amazon is always looking to offer more services to their customers. Customer service is their prime directive. Amazon’s founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos explains, “Our customers are loyal to us right up until the second somebody offers them a better service,” he says. “And I love that. It’s super-motivating for us.” Amazon is constantly looking to better serve their customers in new areas. Bezos’s strategy of continuous evolution has allowed the company to experiment in areas outside of their initial core competency.

Amazon has gone from an online bookstore to a global retailer and media company, offering streaming movies and music, fresh produce, and same day delivery of the greatest products your nine year old could ever want. My second daughter just celebrated her ninth birthday this Saturday. My wife and I spent all month trying to find the perfect gifts for her but our efforts were thwarted because my daughter kept putting off giving us her birthday wish list. She wanted to make sure that everything on the list was exactly what she really wanted. We didn’t receive the wish list until late Thursday night. That left us with only Friday to finish our shopping before her Saturday party. Thankfully, I was able to log on to Amazon.com and get same day delivery of her top items. Amazon’s innovative approach at putting the customer experience first, saved me from making a big mistake in the gift giving process and helped me to avoid making the dreaded trip to the mall.

Amazon is not only changing the way the world shops, it is also embracing an innovative partnership with Gilson Daub, Inc. for the handling of their California workers’ compensation claims. Amazon is a perfect client match for Gilson Daub, as both companies embrace innovative approaches to put their clients first. Staying true to founding principles and embracing new technology has helped both Gilson Daub and Amazon excel in customer service and deliver amazing results. Innovative companies are always looking to bring the wow factor to whatever they do. During this week’s workers’ compensation training, I was proud that Gilson Daub would be able to partner with an excellent company like Amazon in the defense of their California Workers’ Compensation claims.

Gilson Daub, Inc. is always excited to team up with innovative companies that are looking to change their industries and improve the communities where we live and work.
